The 47th Ikoyi Club Lagos Open Golf Championship, held at the 18-hole golf course in Ikoyi Club 1938, was proudly sponsored by United Capital. This annual international event attracts female golfers from around Africa, having achieved the status of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event.
The 3-days championship attracted over 100 participants vying for the coveted title of the competition winner. Gloria Mbaguta of Uganda was declared the overall winner, Aisha of Kenya came in second place, while Ruth Luwoyi was declared the overall net winner in the keenly contested championship.
