Oluwatoyin Sanni has been identified as a Top 25 CEO of a Quoted Company for 2016 by BUSINESSDAY. She will be officially receiving her award this evening at the BUSINESSDAY CEO Awards.
The Award was instituted in 2014 to recognise industry leaders and create global awareness to both local and international opportunities in Nigeria. This year’s selections were based on the 2015 performance of the organisations led by the 25 CEOs; specifically share price appreciation and sustainability growth in each company’s Profit After Tax. The 25 companies identified added as much as N300 billion to the value of market capitalisation in 2015, despite the unexpected changes in the Nigerian economy.
While 2015 proved to be very challenging, United Capital Plc bolstered through and achieved consistent growth in assets and profitability. Driven by our “HEIRS” core values (Hard work, Emotional Intelligence, Integrity, Resilience & Synergy) and United Capital’s integral “PICK” qualities (Professionalism, Innovation, Confidence & Knowledge), the Group achieved Industry leadership in several key business areas such as being the Issuing House to 70% of Nigerian Debt Capital Market issues and 33% of Equity Capital Market Issues. We also introduced the first Dual Listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the FMDQ OTC Securities Market (FMDQ), the Premier Issue on the FMDQ and closed the landmark USD250m Orion Deal.
