Our Debt Equity Capital (DCM) team provides innovative solutions and support to clients assisting them in raising long-term debt financing from both the local and international Capital Markets. Dr. Gbadebo Adenrele holds MBBS and MBA (Finance) degrees from the University of Lagos, as well as MS Global Finance degree from New York University and HKUST. Post-graduation, Gbadebo worked as a medical practitioner at leading healthcare facilities, including Lagos University Teaching Hospital and Premier Specialists Medical Centre. Gbadebo has been an investment banker for 16 of his over 19 years’ working experience. His investment banking experience started with the Investment Banking Division at Zenith Bank Plc, where he worked on capital market transactions. He was subsequently a pioneer staff of Zenith Capital Limited, where he was involved in corporate finance and project finance transactions for leading Nigerian corporates.
Prior to joining United Capital Plc, Gbadebo spent over 11 years at Vetiva Capital Management Limited, where he led the Investment Banking team for 8 years and advised/worked with governments, governmental institutions, leading corporates, domestic and global financial institutions on a broad range of transactions across key sectors and jurisdictions. His last role at Vetiva was as Director and Head, Investment Banking. He also concurrently held Non-Executive Director seats on the boards of the Stockbroking, Asset Management and Trustee subsidiaries, and was Group Coordinator of Digital Business.
Vivian Okoloigwe, ACIB is the Head of Coverage & Distribution, Investment Banking at United Capital Plc, with over 18 years of experience across investment banking, capital markets, exchanges, and commercial banking. She is an accomplished financial market professional with expertise in capital raising, business development, institutional investor engagement, and strategic advisory.
In her current role, Vivian leads business origination and investor distribution across equity, debt, project, and structured finance transactions. She partners with clients to structure innovative capital market solutions, mobilise institutional capital, and drive successful transaction execution while building long-term relationships with corporates, governments, development finance institutions, regulators, and institutional investors.
Before joining United Capital, Vivian was Vice President, Financial Markets at AFEX Commodities Exchange, where she led initiatives that strengthened the exchange's primary and secondary markets, advanced capital market integration, and increased investor participation. Earlier in her career at Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), she contributed to landmark equity listings, public offers, and notable corporate bond issuances. She also held business development and relationship management roles at Diamond Bank Plc and Zenith Bank Plc.
Vivian holds an Executive MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, and has completed executive education programmes at IESE Business School, Harvard Business School, and Wharton Executive Education. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB).
